Martin Daniels – Electrical Engineer
Wildfire Data Recovery | Brisbane, QLD

WE INNOVATE SOLUTIONS TO HELP BOTH BUSINESSES AND PRIVATE CLIENTS
"You may only get one chance at data recovery."

Martin Daniels is the Senior Electrical Engineer at Wildfire Data Recovery, bringing over 15 years of specialised expertise in PCB diagnostics, power system repair, and microcircuit analysis. With a deep background in electrical engineering and embedded systems, Martin leads our component-level repair division, working closely with mobile, SSD, RAID/NAS, server and hard drive subsystems to restore functionality and enable successful data recovery.

Martin’s role is critical in cases involving electrical short circuits, blown protection components, ESD damage, and fire or water-damaged storage devices. He is adept at interpreting schematics, tracing board faults under the microscope, and rebuilding damaged circuits when replacements are unavailable. His work directly supports forensic and high-priority recovery efforts where the original device must be revived just long enough to extract irreplaceable data.
Core Competencies:

-
Advanced board-level diagnostics and repair for storage devices and mobile logic boards
-
Rebuilding power delivery circuits on SSDs, HDDs, and smartphones
-
Voltage rail tracing, short detection, and component replacement (MOSFETs, diodes, capacitors)
-
Extensive experience with multimeters, oscilloscopes, thermal imaging, and logic analyzers
-
Embedded systems troubleshooting and chip-level fault isolation
-

-
Advanced Forensic Electronics Training – ADISA
Professional Philosophy:

"Martin approaches every failed board as a solvable puzzle."

Martin approaches every failed board as a solvable puzzle. He believes that no matter how damaged a device is—whether from fire, flood, or surge—there’s often still a window of opportunity to bring it back to life. His calm, focused approach and encyclopaedic knowledge of board design make him a vital member of the Wildfire engineering team.
